Windflower - Anemone narcissiflora.
A perennial plant up to 30-40 cm tall with a thick vertical rhizome and a mass of fibrous roots. The leaves are palmately dissected. Numerous flower stalks (from 3 to 8) rise above the rosette of beautifully pubescent, palmately dissected leaves, ending in an umbrella-shaped inflorescence of white small flowers up to 2.5 cm in diameter. Blooms in late May - early June, blooms for a long time (up to 30 days) and abundantly. In June, the seeds ripen, which (when sown before winter) form abundant shoots in the spring, but the seedlings take a long time to develop and bloom only in the 4th-6th year.
Propagated by dividing the bush in late summer or early spring, as well as by seeds. It grows especially well in sunny places with loose, drained, neutral soils, as well as in partial shade, on well-permeable soil with plenty of moisture, best on a crushed stone base (with the addition of gravel or crushed stone).
The plant is cold-resistant and stable. Zone: Z2-Z7.
Looks great in mixborders and in the edge of tree and shrub compositions. Despite the fact that she is quite tall, she looks very impressive in a flower garden or rock garden.

Of particular interest are anemones that are decoratively stable, retaining leaves from spring to autumn, while forming beautifully shaped bushes.
These include two species: Anemone crinita and Anemone narcissiflora (fasciculata).
Both species are plants of mountain meadows, have a thickened vertical rhizome, and therefore grow in dense bushes. They are similar in their environmental features and appearance.
The flowers are not single, but are collected in a simple umbrella.
